My Profile

I am based at David Wayne Hooks (KDWH) in Spring and owns a 2008 DA40 XLS. After learning to fly at the Ellington Field Aero Club in 1987, I purchased a 1979 Grumman Cheetah (AA5A) where I accumulated 560 hrs and an Instrument Rating. After a 24-year hiatus from flying as PIC due to children and career, I purchased N905PA in 2017 and have logged 1850+ hrs in my DA40 in the last 5 3/4 years traveling all across the USA & Canada including most of the States between Key West, Florida and Alaska, as well as from Bangor, Maine to the Grand Canyon. My interest in aviation is focused on travel, visiting family, friends and new places, including some of the backcountry strips of Alaska, Idaho and Montana. I am also an avid Cyclist and Golfer, so my clubs and bike can often be found in the back of my DA40. I retired from ExxonMobil in 2017 and also lead the ExxonMobil Flying Club (aka Tiger Flyers).
