What is the EAA Air Academy program?


The Experimental Aircraft Association hosts an ACA accredited summer program
designed exclusively for young aviation enthusiasts aged 14-18. The Academy is
located at the airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Campers reside at the EAA Air Academy
Lodge and immerse themselves in the heart of sport aviation.

Fuel your passion for flight with a diverse array of hands-on activities curated to ignite
curiosity and spark a passion for aviation. Led by passionate aviators, you’ll soar into
the realm of aviation through immersive studies, captivating demonstrations,
exhilarating flight simulations and a myriad of other thrilling experiences.


What programs are available?


Explore is for those who love working with their hands. Full of workshop projects and
discover aviation innovations at the Air Academy workshop and Youth Education
Center.
Horizons is for those curious about a career in aviation. Tour aviation facilities like
maintenance hangars, ATC towers and tech schools. Meet the professionals who work
there and start preparing for your own future in aviation.

Chapter 302 offers scholarship opportunities to qualified youth who wish to participate in
this program. We pay the camp tuition which includes room and board. The campers
provide their own transportation to and from Oshkosh, WI.
